Artful Use of the Question Mark?

Saw this comic in my Google Reader by Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal.

The rule should be extended to journalism in general (for a different reason). I refer you to exhibit A, a Daily Show clip titled "The Question Mark" about how "Fox has figured out that by simply putting a question mark at the end of something, you can say f**king anything."

"My Candy" Confidence Interval

Found an interesting infographic "My Candy" on Halloween candy from FlowingData in my Google Reader stream. So I got permission from the author to adapt it for use in my classroom and on my blog. Here it is.

Question to my stats students are:
-How does he know?
-What are the assumptions made in making this kind of estimate?
-What is the sample size used (can we find out from the infographic)?
-What is the likely confidence interval used? Why?
